My Fight Against Heart Attack

One thing that is a common problem amongst my family is heart problems. So many of my family members passed away either from a heart attack or congestive heart failure. So a lot of my aunts and uncles believe that we are cursed with heart issues. But I vowed not to let this be my problem. So I am doing everything in my power to prevent this from happening to me. I do not want to be another statistic when it comes to individuals who die young because of heart issues.

Therefore, during the past 4 weeks, I’ve been taking extra precaution on the types of food that I eat. One thing I noticed about my family, is that we are pork lovers. Every meal has to have pork in it, which is really bad.  So what I’ve done is eliminate all the pork and fatty foods from my diet so that I can reduce my chance of getting a heart attack. As a meat, I am now eating baked chicken and fish.

Not only have I changed my diet, but I am also trying to exercise regularly. One way to stengthen your heart muscle is by doing cardio aerobics. So I have set aside 45 minutes a day to do some high intense cardiovascular exercise. I’ve been also exercising on various abdominal workout machines in order to get rid of the fat around my tummy. One machine that I enjoy working out on is called the abs rocket machine. The machine not only gives you an ab workout, but it also gives you a nice cardio workout that will aid in strengthening your heart muscle.

In addition to exercising on abdominal machines, I am also doing a little strength training. Right now, I am working with 8 pound dumbells in order to strengthen my biceps and triceps. I have toned my muscles so much that I can now see the muscular curves and physique that I’ve always dreamed of. But the neat thing about strength training, is that it also helps me build up my heart rate. In other words, I am doing two important workouts in one attempt.
